Cannes Predictions 2009 decided its winners!

The Eight Cannes Predictions edition finally decided its winners.

From over 100 entrances in the contest and out of a maximum possible score of 600 points, the highest score was 490 and belongs to Oana Gheorghe and Nutu Valea.

The competition was tough as both of them recorded the exact maximum scores, but as separation had to be done the most Grand Prix/Golds rule was applied, thus Oana detached slightly and is our official winner.

Her surprise prize is 100 Becks beers that she can drink with her friends at "La Copac" terrace (Pitar Mos street). Oana please come to our offices (13 Nicolae Iorga, starting Wednesday, 8 July) so you can pick up your voucher.

As announced, top 5 scores won complete Cannes Predictions DVD reels.

Winners are:

1. Oana Gheorghe - 490 points

2. Nutu Valea - 490 points

3. Anca Croitoriu - 470 points

4. Lupascu Dragos Victor - 460 points

5. Draganoaia Celia - 460 points

6. Cristina Oncescu - 460 points

Congratulations to all winners and we eagerly expect to see everybody again in the next year competition!

Cannes Media Grand Prix Winner - Kit Kat for Edible Postcard

In Japan's insanely competitive retail environment, one of the world's most familiar confectionery products, Nestle's Kit Kat, found an unlikely new distribution channel, earning it and its agency, JWT Japan, the Media Grand Prix at the 56th Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.

JWT was struck by the Japanese translation of Kit Kat -- Kitto Katso means "surely win" -- and the tradition of sending students good luck wishes before they take tough higher-education entrance exams. So Nestle partnered with Japan's postal service to create "Kit Kat Mail," a postcard-like product sold only at the post office that could be mailed to students as an edible good-luck charm.
